It has been a long time - far too long - since I updated our Focus On Rhabdo website. As important as FoR is to the community, I spent the past number of months helping Dr. Keller set up his new laboratory, one that I hope will quickly bring a cure to this incredibly devastating disease. The laboratory consumed literally all of my time and for that I apologize to the FoR community for my extended absence.

There has been a lot going on in the Rhabdo world. As I catch up I will share the information on line. The goal of Focus On Rhabdo has always been to share information and provide a collaborative environment for families, researchers and clinicians in order to hasten our progress towards the goal of making rhabdomyosarcoma a universally survivable disease.

I have learned a lot in the past months. In the coming weeks I’ll share with you my thoughts on moving - as a community - towards a cure.

And I ask for your assistance as well. I certainly know what each of you is going through as you do battle with the Rhabdo monster. As a patient, family member or good friend, it is a battle that takes over your life - emotionally, physically and financially. It is difficult enough to get out of bed in the morning let alone look for the resources you need to move forward. That’s what Focus On Rhabdo is here for. Together we have the power to make things happen.

This is your website as much as it is mine. If there is something that you want to share with the FoR community, please send it to me at info@focusonrhabdo.org.

In the next few days I’ll try to catch up on my email: say hello to new members and respond to questions that have been asked.

Thank you all in advance for your understanding…. It’s good to be back.
