The Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI), under the direction of Dr. Charles Keller, is about to launch a crowdfunding project for discovering new drugs to stop metastasis in rhabdomyosarcoma… using a quail egg assay.
The goal is to raise enough funds for the purchase of a Zeiss Stereo Microscope. This microscope will empower Dr. Keller and his team to observe sarcoma progression using tumors taken from our genetically-engineered mouse models. These mouse models are for rhabdomyosarcoma and related soft tissue sarcomas.
The Go4TheGoal Foundation has created a challenge for a 1:1 match on this crowdfunding project. All contributions will be matched 1:1 by the Go4TheGoal foundation (our goal is $25k to match $25k from Go4TheGoal).
The launch will be this Sunday, May 15th, 2016 at 12pm EST.
The crowdfunding website is: https://www.consano.org/projects/84-microscope-to-study-the-process-of-rhabdomyosarcoma-metastasis.
Please give what you can. Everything you give will be doubled by Go4TheGoal Foundation.
Full disclosure: I am a founding director of cc-TDI.
